An open-weights model you can run yourself — if you have a big enough graphics card. A free Colab T4 did not have enough memory in our test.
What LTX-2.5 is
LTX-2.5 is an open-weights video model from Lightricks, released 11 August 2026. Open weights means the model files can be downloaded and run on your own machine, instead of only through a website. It makes video and audio together, in the same generation.
What you need to run it
Lightricks says at least 32 GB of GPU memory. That is far more than a free Colab T4, which is why our test crashed on RAM while the model was loading, before any frames were made. Do not plan a free, no-sign-in video around running LTX-2.5 on a small free GPU.
What this means for making videos
For finished videos made here, without signing in and without a big GPU, LTX-2.5 is not the practical route today. The comparison with Seedance 2.5 is on the Seedance 2.5 news page and in the site's kit articles. Re-check the official model page before you download or pay for anything.
